Laura was one of the assistants during my 2 x 12 Yoga Teacher Training.  As much as I valued and appreciated the process of my training, it was at times very demanding and draining.  Laura always seemed to sense when I was in need of an empathetic ear to listen or a supportive shoulder on which to lean.  She made herself meaningfully available to share her experience and to encourage me and affirm my process.  Her compassion and kindness, as well as her gentle strength, are shining examples of a yoga teacher whose practice transcends the mat.  I feel so fortunate to have had my life touched by her inspiring spirit.

Thank you, Laura, for being such a significant part of one of the most meaningful and memorable experiences of my life.

With gratitude,
Maria Elsden

Laura's Kripalu Experiences
Kripalu has become a second home to me. In June of 08 I spent the month at Kripalu and studied 200 hours under the guidance of Brahmini Liebman and Jashoda Edmunds. Since then I have become a program assistant, allowing me the opportunity to experience many different programs. It is an educational experience unlike no other, one I am extremely grateful for. I am able to work along side some of the best yoga, meditation and spiritual teachers in country. The tools I am learning benefit me in every aspect of my personal life, professional life and spiritual life. I am passionate about sharing the gifts of Kripalu with the world around me. It is my intention to guide my students to live their yoga. I want to teach them to bring simple tools into their everyday lives creating an extraordinary life.

I am grateful to say that after all  of my educational experiences at Kripalu I have now become part of the staff there. I am on the Kripalu Yoga Teaching Team and also on the Retreat & Renewal Workshop Team. I am blessed to be given the opportunity to teach guests from around the world.

Below I have listed descriptions the programs, events and teachers I have been so fortunate to have had the privilege to be part ofas a program assistant.
